biography text
A namesake of this MP had attended the parliamentary elections at Wilton in 1413 to stand surety for men returned for Downton and Marlborough,1 C219/11/2. but no-one of this name has been traced in the local records of the later fifteenth century. Wilton almost invariably returned residents of the town, and even if Prat did come from elsewhere he made no mark either in Wiltshire or in national affairs.
